Matchday 24 in the German Bundesliga: 1. FC Köln welcomes VfL Bochum. We will report live from 8.30 p.m. – see ticker below.
Here’s the ticker:
VfL Bochum has been waiting for a Bundesliga win against Cologne for almost 20 years; the last dates from April 2004, when they won 2-1 in the RheinEnergieSTADION. It was also Bochum’s only Bundesliga victory in Cologne, and that in 30 guest appearances (7 draws, 22 defeats).
Cologne has been goalless for three Bundesliga games, VfL for four. In the second half of the season, FC had a final efficiency of minus 1.9, Bochum even had chances of 3.6 goals in the last four games without a goal.
Thomas Letsch: “I expect a gigantic atmosphere. Cologne will start like the fire brigade. I expect my team to counter it from the first second. We must not allow ourselves to be impressed and must do everything we can to score points.”
