BILD had already reported exclusively on the Cologne plan: Uth is to come for 1.7 million euros in salary, free of charge and initially for two years (plus option). The transfer was negotiated before his dismissal by ex-sports boss Horst Heldt (51).
On Wednesday evening, Cologne’s club bosses also basically nodded the transfer. At 7 p.m., the joint committee at Geißbockheim – Cologne’s board of directors around President Werner Wolf (64) met with the member board bosses, the supervisory board and the advisory board boss to approve the Uth plan presented by managing director Alexander Wehrle (46) .
Result: The final details have yet to be clarified or changed in the Heldt deal. A Uth agreement with Schalke must be reached.
