Baumgart about Pedersen: “He had tests this week. We have a feeling it won’t be long before he takes his first steps on the pitch. At the latest the week after next, so that we can go into the rehabilitation training as usual.”

Baumgart on the goalless games: “We had several good chances against Union. The boys need clarity. If they can shoot, let them shoot. We should be able to flank faster and more clearly. Anyone who sees the training knows that we are working on it. The guys are working very well, so I hope we can pull this off. They will give everything they have against Bochum as well. Bochum is difficult to play with and is able to achieve results that nobody expects.”

Baumgart about Bochum:Football games always have a story. For 43 minutes, they barely gave Bayern a chance. They had a lot of possession against Schalke. They didn’t lose the games because they were the worse team. Bochum is very aggressive, they already have their weapons. It’s going to be a difficult game and we expect that too. We should not be blinded by the results. But we’re playing at home and we want to win this game with all our might. We want to create chances and it’s even better if we take them.”

Baumgart about Selke: “We said from the start that he had a mission, not just goals. He was unlucky and was repeatedly slowed down by small things. From my point of view he is doing well. He struggles with the fact that he keeps falling behind. We show him what he must and should do. We hope that he can now do this for a longer period of time. We’ve dealt with enough failures. I told the guys it would be nice if we stopped that.”

Baumgart about the staff: “Luca Kilian is on the right track, is back in training. We will increase that. Davie Selke is fully recovered and a candidate for the starting XI. We’ll think about that in the next few days.”
