It is already known that 1. FC Köln will have to do without Mark Uth at the start. At the obligatory press conference before the match with FC Schalke 04, Steffen Baumgart gave an insight into who could replace the offensive man in the starting XI.
“There are two or three options for Mark in the tenth position. We can Lyubi [Dejan Ljubičić] pull in the middle. We can play with Mathias Olesen and of course I have to play with Dudi too [Ondrej Duda] calculate because he is always ahead in the training process. But we will consider carefully whether that is already an option. But then it will be about the three players.”
Ljubičić is likely to be the most likely option on Sunday (5:30 p.m.). Then the question is who occupies his half-position on the right side. Jan Thielmann and Linton Maina are most likely to come into question here.
