Details concerning the prefectural decree
Like every season, the Prefecture of the Alpes Maritimes has issued an order prohibiting the wearing, transport, possession and use of rockets, fireworks and pyrotechnic devices in the targeted areas. Also, the consumption of alcohol on the public highway, the take-out sale and the transport of alcoholic beverages in the areas described around the stadium, two hours before and after the match.
The said decree does not concern the stadium and the forecourt, for which the authorization to sell and consume alcohol is conditional on the granting of an authorization given to OGC Nice, by the City of Nice and the Prefecture of Alpes-Maritimes. OGC Nice makes the request before each match and the agreement has been given by the authorities for this Friday’s match.
Claude Puel in the spotlight
Claude Puel will be honored this Friday. Coach of OGC Nice between 2012 and 2016, “the builder” allowed the Aiglons to take an important step in their development, while placing the club in Europe twice, in 2012-13 and in 2015-16. At the head of LOSC from 2002 to 2008, the 62-year-old technician will meet Gym supporters at the National Sports Museum, at 7:30 p.m., before receiving the Ancien Aiglon trophy on the lawn, a few minutes from the kick-off.
Thinking of “El Potro” Dominguez
The meeting will be dedicated to the memory of Jorge Dominguez, the Gym’s immense Argentinian striker, whose death the club learned of at the end of July. A great architect of the rise to the first division in 1985, “El Potro” (“the Colt” in Spanish) scored 45 goals in 70 games with the Aiglons, between 1984 and 1986. He left us at the age of 64 . A book of condolences will be available to supporters on the “La Grande Histoire du Gym” stand, on the forecourt (north side) and will then be given to his family. A minute of contemplation will be respected before the kick-off of the meeting.
Tribute to Anthony Valenti
Anthony Valenti was only 21 years old. He was an unconditional supporter of OGC Nice and never missed a meeting of the red and black. Anthony would obviously have been present at the Allianz Riviera during this opening of the championship against Lille. Alas, he left us suddenly on Thursday August 3rd. A tribute will be paid to him
The squad presented at Villa Masséna
The professional squad of OGC Nice will be presented at Villa Masséna on Wednesday 16 August. This tradition, which comes back to life for the first time since 2013, will be aimed at subscribers as well as club partners.
New red and black blood drive
OGC Nice and the French Blood Establishment (EFS) are organizing a major Red and Black blood drive from Monday August 14 to Saturday August 19. The needs are not diminishing and the summer period is marked by a decrease in attendance at blood drives. A signed jersey, tickets for Nice-Lyon, signed balls and Gym scarves are up for grabs. The “Citizen Tribune” is extended for the 2023/2024 season! This square of 200 places in the heart of the Garibaldi stand will continue to offer moments of happiness and fervor to associations and people in need. La Tribune Citoyenne is supported by the Endowment Fund and Côte d’Azur companies wishing to contribute to the Gym’s charitable actions, of which they are the main supporters.
The Restos du Cœur always present
Four Restos du Cœur collection points will once again be waiting for Nice supporters at the Allianz Riviera, as soon as the forecourt opens, at the foot of the south, north and west stairs.
No subscription will be possible at the ticket offices of the stadium
The subscription procedure will be interrupted, online and in person, from 12 p.m. until the end of the match. If you have opted for the physical card, it will be possible to pick it up on the evening of the match at the Subscribers’ Lounge, anticipating its arrival at the Allianz Riviera.
