$1.9 Million Granted to Les Coteaux by Quebec Government for Water Infrastructure Work

An amount of $1.9 million is granted to the municipality of Les Coteaux by the Government of Quebec from the PRIMEAU 2023 municipal water infrastructure program for water infrastructure work.

The municipality of Coteaux plans to renew or rehabilitate 774 meters of water pipes located under Delisle and Pauline streets. The amount granted by the provincial government will make it possible to begin work aimed at maintaining the offer of municipal services to the population in an efficient manner. These will affect drinking water, wastewater and rainwater pipes.

The mayor of Les Coteaux says he is happy to “be able to carry out the project to replace and rehabilitate the water and sewer lines” with this financial assistance. “The work planned in the northern sector of the municipality will meet a pressing need without the tax burden being entirely on the shoulders of the citizens. These new modern infrastructures will ensure a more reliable water supply, help preserve the environment and prevent problems related to water systems,” continues Mr. Brazeau.

Remember that PRIMEAU 2023 has been running since April 17th. This program promotes the pursuit of government efforts in sustainable land development, responsible use of drinking water and management of water assets. It will be $2.4 billion that will be able to help the various municipalities.
