Six million francs in losses in 2018. A profit of 1.8 million in 2019. The financial health of the Valais Hospital improved during the last financial year, the one which preceded the coronavirus crisis.
Another welcome financial element was that the Hospital ended up with investment revenue of 44.9 million, compared to a target of 40 million. He now finds himself with a reserve fund of 134.1 million, an amount that will be used to deal with construction and renovation projects, which begins this spring on the sites of Sion and Brig.
In its annual report made public on Tuesday, the Valais Hospital is delighted to be able to note “a significant increase in activity in 2019 with an increase in the number of stationary patients (+ 2.4% compared to 2018) and outpatient visits (+ 6.4%). “
