VACCINES WILL BE USED FOR COMPLETE SCHEMES

The Ministry of Public Health and Social Assistance (MSPAS) confirmed that one and a half million vaccines will be used in the application of the complete scheme, that is, 750,000 people will be inoculated with both doses of the Moderna vaccine.

In that sense, the plan of the Ministry of Health is that 750,000 inhabitants have guaranteed access to both doses of Moderna. For the above, it should be taken into account that mRNA vaccines are preserved under temperatures of +2 and +8 degrees Celsius and the second dose must be applied within 28 days to guarantee efficacy.

La Hora asked the Health portfolio if, because they represent a viable storage and preservation option, Moderna’s vaccines will be destined for the interior of the Republic, however, they did not clarify this question at the end of the note.
