The National Bank of Kuwait posted a net profit of 374.2 million Kuwaiti dinars ($ 1.206 billion) during the first nine months of 2022 through September 30, which is the highest quarterly profit in its history.
The bank achieved, according to a statement, yesterday Tuesday, a growth rate of 46.9% during that period, compared to 254.8 million Kuwaiti dinars (821.8 million dollars) in the same period of 2021.
The bank also reported a net profit in the third quarter of the year, ended September 30, 2022, of 136.4 million Kuwaiti dinars ($ 440 million), on an annual basis of 45.0%.
The bank indicated that total assets at the end of September 2022 grew by 6.8% on an annual basis, to reach 34.7 billion Kuwaiti dinars (111.883 billion dollars).
It indicated that the total value of loans and advances amounted to 20.6 billion Kuwaiti dinars ($ 66.420 billion), an increase of 8.7% year-on-year.
Customer deposits increased 11.0% to reach KD 19.3 billion ($ 62.229 billion).
The bank’s statement shows that the total net worth amounts to 3.5 billion Kuwaiti dinars (11.285 billion dollars), with an increase of 1.5% on an annual basis.
