On Thursday evening there was a traffic accident in Höchst in which a 16-year-old moped driver was injured to an unspecified degree.
On Thursday at 7.15 p.m., there was a traffic accident in Höchst at the L 202 (main street) intersection with the L 19 between a motorbike and a truck registered as a truck. The 43-year-old driver of the car drove on the L 202 from Fußach coming towards the traffic light-controlled intersection with the L 19. He intended to continue straight ahead at the intersection in the direction of Gaißau. At the same time, a 16-year-old boy from Höchst was driving his motorbike on the L 19 from Höchst Kirchplatz towards the same intersection.

However, he intended to turn left into Doktor-Schneider-Strasse at the intersection in question. The young man is likely to have overlooked or not noticed the oncoming car. This led to a collision between the car and the motorcycle. The moped handlebar was first thrown against the windshield of the car and then laterally back onto the L 19.

Alcohol test carried out positive
He suffered injuries – presumably severe – in the accident and was brought to the Dornbirn hospital by medical personnel from the Red Cross after initial treatment at the scene of the accident. The driver of the car was uninjured in the accident. An alcohol test carried out on him gave a result of 0.9 per mille. The driver’s license was therefore taken from him on the spot. Significant material damage occurred on both vehicles.
