The day after another painful defeat, this time at Metz, but it is already time to look forward to Saturday’s game. Referee has been appointed #ASSERAF. And he’s a young referee who only knows L2 from last season!
The FFF has announced the referees appointments for the 15th day of Ligue 2 to be held this weekend! And to referee during the match on Saturday 15, which will see 19, ASSE against 18 Rodez, the federation has appointed a very young referee who refereed his first L2 matches last season: Pierre Legato.
A referee known to both teams!
Pierre Legat has already refereed as central referee 8 times this season in Ligue 2. In total, during these 8 games, the 31-year-old referee handed out 46 yellow cards, 1 second yellow card (synonymous with exclusion) and 2 red cards. A referee who has already warned a lot!
Whether it’s Saint-Étienne or Rodez, the Toulouse referee knows the 2 teams. He had refereed on the whistle during the Pau-ASSE (2-2 draw, 7 yellow cards, 1 red card for the Greens). On Rodez’s side, Pierre Legat met the Ruthenians twice during Rodez-Annecy (2-2, 6 yellow, 1 red) and during Rodez-Le Havre (1-1, 8 yellow).
It is also interesting to note that Pierre Legat was the referee during the friendly between Angers and Saint-Étienne (4-1) which took place in Saumur during the summer preparations.
His season in Ligue 2
- LE HAVRE-GRENOBLE: 0/0
- DIJON – CAEN: 2/2
- RODEZ-ANNECY: 2/2
- GUINGAMP – SOCHAUX: 1/2
- PAU-AXIS: 2/2
- VALENCIENNES – SOCHAUX: 2/1
- BORDEAUX-METZ: 2/0
- RODEZ – LE HAVRE: 1/1
Note that Pierre Legat also refereed a Coupe de France match in the seventh round between AS Venus (Polynesia) and ASM Belfort (N2).
A young referee who has recently discovered L2
Pierre Legat is a young referee (31 years old) who refereed his first matches in Ligue 2 last season (21 refereed matches). Previously, he made his own ranges in the different levels of the national team but also during the first rounds of the Coupe de France. From an early age, Pierre Legat decided to turn to the referee in 2005 and devote himself to it. Gradually and climbing the ladder, he managed to reach Ligue 2 last season.
He has therefore already met Rodez in the past: 4 times last season in L2, but also twice in the national team during the 2018/2019 season. On the other hand, it is the very first season that he meets ASSE.
