We all know Mathieu van der Poel as a super talented road racer, crosser and mountain biker. But there also appears to be a great teacher in the cycling phenomenon.
An old YouTube video shows how Mathieu van der Poel hilariously teaches math to his classmates, imitating his math teacher. He does this confidently and in his (much too short) rainbow jersey that he won with the juniors in Koksijde. The video dates from 2013 and has already been viewed 61,000 times.
Van der Poel attended secondary school at the Sint-Jozefinstituut in Essen (Belgium), about 20 kilometers from his old home in Kapellen. He graduated in Economics Modern Languages.
