🎥 Cute! Pogacar is shocked by a crossing marmot on the descent of the Galibier

The yellow jersey wearer loved the native fauna and flora throughout his dive down.

Crossing the street when there are riders approaching is rarely a good suggestion. In truth, it’s strongly discouraged. And positively in a high-speed descent! It did occur on the descent of Col du Galibier, though this time we won’t be mad about it in any respect.

It wasn’t a spectator, however a marmot that crossed the street at lightning pace! It occurred simply for the time being that the very best rider on this planet threw himself down like a stone in the direction of Valloire. Luckily, the Slovenian wasn’t hindered. The pictures:

That the lovable mammal crossed the street is definitely not distinctive. The entire inhabitants within the Alps is estimated at over 100,000. The epic ‘La Marmotte’, a tour within the French Alps, is even named after the animal.

Squirrels

Marmots are a genus from the squirrel household. On this case, it was an alpine marmot. They develop to 45 to 65 centimeters lengthy and weigh between 3.5 and 6.5 kilograms.

The alpine marmot lives in household teams (15 to twenty animals) in alpine meadows at an altitude of 1800 to 2200 meters. They typically conceal in burrows. Between October and April they hibernate.
