A body-cam video was released on the 27th showing Tire Nichols, a 29-year-old black man who died from a group beating by police in Memphis, Tennessee, USA, being attacked with pepper spray on the night of the 7th (local time), the day of the incident. Five police officers pulled Nicholls out of the driver’s seat and beat him indiscriminately for a traffic control reason. Protests broke out in major cities including Memphis and New York when body-cam footage of police brutality was released.
