In the past, North Korea committed large-scale provocations ahead of the Day of the Light of the Star on February 16, the birthday of Kim Jong-il.
While concerns are rising as North Korea’s provocations are returning to the past, in particular, interest is in whether Kim Ju-ae, the daughter of Kim Jong-un, will appear in public again.

North Korea is raising the atmosphere of remembrance ahead of the so-called ‘Day of the Light of the Star’, the birthday of Chairman Kim Jong-il on the 16th.
It is to propagate the legitimacy of the hereditary succession of the Baekdu lineage, but the problem is whether the provocation is made around the birthday.
North Korea conducted its third nuclear test in 2013 and test-launched a semi-intermediate-range ballistic missile Pukguksong-2 in 2017 four days before Kim Jong-il’s birthday.
Kwangmyongsong-4, an artificial satellite to secure intercontinental ballistic missile technology, was also launched ahead of Kim Jong-il’s birthday in 2016.
North Korea, which has been stagnant since 2018, launched the intermediate-range ballistic missile Hwasong-12 in October of last year, which crossed the Japanese archipelago for the first time in five years.
Also, it is of interest that Kim Joo-ae, who has recently appeared on official statues, will appear at events such as visiting the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun on Kim Jong-il’s birthday.
