Over 200 people, including workers at hydroelectric power plants, disappeared
In 2013, 6,000 people were killed in the Himalayan Tsunami.

It is a region of Nanda Devi National Park in the Himalayas, Uttarakhand Province, India.

Suddenly there was a massive avalanche.

The avalanche drove huge glaciers and hit the valley like a’tsunami’ along the coast.

There was a dam, but it didn’t stop the rapids.

In an instant, thousands of people were swept away by the rapids.

Rescue authorities estimate that more than 200 people are missing.

Workers at two hydroelectric power plant construction sites and residents of nearby villages were transformed.
