Hong Jin-young’s master’s thesis in the Department of Trade at Chosun University was engulfed in controversy when media reports that the plagiarism rate was 74% as a result of the’Copy Killer’ test on the plagiarism review site.

Hong Jin-young did not accept the allegations of plagiarism even though he later apologized.

Hong Jin-young once again apologized when his master’s thesis was tentatively judged as plagiarism in an investigation of Chosun University, saying, “I will accept the provisional conclusion of plagiarism from Chosun University and regret it deeply.”
