In March this year, when he was a preliminary candidate for the 21st National Assembly member general election, Hong is accused of having volunteers turn over 1200 publicity calls about him. According to the Public Official Election Act, in the case of preliminary candidates, only the candidate himself can make publicity calls. In addition, Rep. Hong is also accused of paying 3 million won in exchange for the campaign to a volunteer who is not registered as a campaigner. At the previous decision hearing, the court asked the court to be sentenced to one year and six months in prison. The court said, “The defendant conspired with other defendants and made a direct call campaign. The violation of the party’s primary race was targeted at planned, organized, and unspecified constituencies. I can see it.”
