In the first trial, Mr. Choi Mo, the mother-in-law of Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol, who was accused of forging a bank account balance certificate during the land purchase process, admitted part of the charges.
Choi admitted to the fact that he had forged the account balance certificate by attending the first hearing held at the Uijeongbu District Court today (22nd).
However, he insisted that there was no intention, saying that his former partner, Ahn Mo, agreed to use a forged certificate to obtain information from the Korea Asset Management Corporation.
Kim, who was present with him for forging the certificate himself, admitted to the forgery.
At the trial on that day, a real estate agent, Choi’s witness, was present and testified on the process of purchasing the land and the use of the forged account balance certificate.
Earlier, Choi was handed over to trial in March on charges of forgery of his bank account balance certificate, as if he had deposited 34.7 billion won in a bank in the process of purchasing land in Dochon-dong, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do in April-October 2013.
The next trial will take place on March 18 next year at 5pm.
