Several videos reveal that the international schools and facilities under IM Mission were operated completely ignoring the quarantine regulations.

As the spreading trend increases, not only the official videos posted on the website, but also traces of violations of quarantine regulations are rapidly being deleted.

Reporter Kim Ji-hwan reports.

Elementary school students sit around and start praying without masks.

“I’ll pray. Lord!”

In the other room, dozens of teenagers jump and dance together.

I also sing, but after all, no one wore a mask.

This is a video uploaded at the end of last year by a missionary at TCS International School, an unauthorized educational facility in Gwangju where there were a lot of corona 19 confirmed cases.

However, as the reporters secured the video and entered the report, it disappeared everywhere.

The promotional video that was posted on the IM Mission website, as well as the educational video that was originally released for anyone to see, have disappeared.

The same is true of the photos posted on social media.

The situation where IM Mission is requesting deletion by sending a message to the people who uploaded the activity photos taken at the facility was caught.

[IM선교회 관련 시설 근무자 : ‘이번 IM선교회 사건으로 인해서 IM관련 사진을 다 지워줄 수 있을까요?’ 이렇게 연락이 와서 그러지는 못하겠다고 얘기를 드리니 그 뒤로는 연락 없었어요.]

The mission side acknowledged and apologized for the infection loophole, saying it was a problem with the boarding life, which made it difficult to thoroughly manage quarantine regulations as the group infection grew out of control.

[IM선교회 관계자 : 기숙이니까 잠잘 때 마스크 쓰고 자지 않잖아요. 방심했겠죠, 방심.]

However, the contents containing the violation of the quarantine regulations are being erased.

It is interpreted as a strategy to avoid legal responsibility in the outbreak of mass infection.

[허윤 / 변호사 : 감염병예방법을 어긴 마스크를 쓰지 않은 현장이나 모임 사진일 텐데 그런 것들이 당연히 노출돼 있으면 수사기관이나 정부에서 입수해서 죄를 추궁하는 데 사용할 수 있기 때문에….]

Some civic groups have filed a complaint with the prosecution for violating the Elementary and Secondary Education Act by recruiting students as if unauthorized facilities under IM Mission were not schools and were official educational facilities.

As investigations are expected to begin in churches and facilities with infections in the near future, we are interested in the impact of attempts to delete relevant evidence.
