Yes. For three weeks from tomorrow, the police, along with related organizations such as local governments and the Food and Drug Administration, will be cracking down on unauthorized entertainment establishments.

The targets of the intensive crackdown are unlicensed entertainment establishments that operate irregularly, avoiding the ban on the 5 types of entertainment facilities.

The police recently discovered a number of behaviors where some businesses register their businesses as singing practice centers or general restaurants and operate them like entertainment bars.

From the 4th to the 17th, the National Police Agency discovered 43 cases of 348 people secretly operating entertainment facilities, including danran pubs and singing practice areas, which are subject to ban on gatherings.

YTN also reported several times the secret business behavior of some entertainment facilities.

In the early morning of the 16th, 58 people, including the business owner, employees, and customers, who were secretly operating at three entertainment facilities in Songpa-gu, Seoul, were charged.

Two of the three entertainment facilities were accused of illegal business even a month ago.

Even though 33 people including business owners were being investigated by the police for violating the infectious disease prevention law, they also continued their business.

These establishments only received guests who made reservations so that the facts of business were not leaked to the outside.

In addition, it was investigated that when the police were dispatched, they were identified with CCTV in advance, locked the door first, and removed the customers to the rear door to avoid the crackdown.

Also, on the 20th, an entertainment bar in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul was caught.

41 people including business owners, employees, and customers were charged.

The police who were dispatched after receiving a report of illegal business at an entertainment bar asked for the door to open, but the business side stubbornly persisted.

With the help of firefighters, the police forcefully opened the door and arrested the owners and customers.

The police said that such unauthorized business would harm other self-employed persons who comply with the order prohibiting gatherings, and seriously hinder quarantine, so they will be punished strictly.

So far, the Ministry of Social Affairs has delivered it.
