Fortunately, the fire at the hotel seems to have ended without major human damage.
Please tell us the detailed situation first.
[기자]
Yes, the fire started at around 11 p.m. yesterday (20th).
It happened at a five-story hotel in Muju Resort, Jeollabuk-do, where many guests stayed for the weekend.
At around 3:55 a.m., after 4 hours and 50 minutes, all the lights went out.
With this fire, 87 people, including guests and staff in the room, evacuated themselves, and two were rescued by firefighters dispatched.
One of these women in her 50s was taken to a hospital after inhaling smoke.
There were also difficulties in extinguishing fires overnight.
First of all, there is no fire station in Muju-gun, so the fire truck arrived in 40 minutes from the nearest Jangsu fire station to the fire site.
Here, the hotel itself is a wooden building, and as time went on, strong winds made it difficult to evolve.
At around 1:20 in the morning, the second stage of fire response was initiated, in which personnel and equipment from nearby fire stations were mobilized.
First of all, the fire department believes that a fire started on the eaves of the roof of the building.
It is known that there was a firewood stove inside the hotel, and the exact cause of the fire will be investigated including this part.

Is the Jeongseon wildfire extinguishing work that started yesterday afternoon still going on?
[기자]
Yes, it is.
The fire started at around 3:50 pm yesterday, and extinguishing work has been underway for over 13 hours.
Forest officials explained that as of 4:30 am today, about 70% of wildfires have been extinguished.
The range of fire, that is, the length of the flame has also been shortened from 700m to 400m.
The fire started at Nochusan Mountain in Jeongseon-gun, Gangwon-do, around 3:50pm yesterday (20th).
The Forest Service and the fire department mobilized 11 helicopters to immediately extinguish the fire, but the slope was severe and strong winds of more than 6 m/s were blown, making it difficult to extinguish.
There is a private house at the bottom of the mountain, but no one has been injured by a forest fire yet.
However, it is estimated that 120,000 square meters of national forests were burned with this fire.
After sunset yesterday, helicopters were also withdrawn, establishing a proliferation barrier, focusing on preventing further spread rather than evolution.
At least last night, the wind has subsided and speeding up the evolution, but now a strong wind of 5m per second is blowing again.
The forestry authorities explained that they would resume the full-fledged evolution by mobilizing 14 helicopters that were on standby at around 7 o’clock this morning.
So far, the Ministry of Social Affairs has delivered it.
