Prosecution Policy Researcher Im Eun-jeong said that he was excluded from his job in the prosecution’s suspicion of a perjury teacher at the time of the bribery case of former Prime Minister Han Myung-sook.
In an article posted on his SNS, Researcher Lim wrote that he was excluded from the case under the instructions of Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol and Deputy Prosecutor Cho Nam-gwan, leaving the statute of the case on the 4th and 20th, respectively.
At the same time, he said that the order for the transfer of duties by President Yun was a very wrong choice for the sake of justice and the prosecution, and that it was regrettable and sighed.
In response, the Supreme Prosecutors’ Office explained that Yun Seok-yeol had never assigned the case to Researcher Lim, and that today (2nd), for the first time, the Chief of Prosecutors at the Supreme Prosecutor’s Office 3 was designated as the chief prosecutor.
In addition, he explained that President Yoon instructed the 3rd Prosecutors’ Office to collect and report the opinions of all the prosecutors who have participated in the investigation, including Researcher Lim.
Earlier, on the 22nd of last month, Researcher Lim was appointed as a prosecutor at the Seoul Central District Prosecutor’s Office from the personnel of the prosecutor’s office on the 22nd, and was given the right to investigate.
In response, the Supreme Prosecutor’s Office asked Researcher Lim to confirm what legal grounds were granted, and the Ministry of Justice responded that it gave him the right to investigate in relation to the surveillance affairs that Researcher Lim is in charge of in order to strengthen the surveillance function.
