[사회][단독] “Hide police identity” crackdown… even suspicion of interfering with investigation

[앵커]

This is a follow-up report on the mask sales fraud case by an incumbent police officer and a court official who were former gangsters that were delivered alone yesterday.

The incumbent police officer regularly cracked down on his accomplices to keep it a secret that they were dealing with him.

When the police investigation began, suspicions were raised that interfered with the investigation, such as forcing false statements.

A mask factory in Jeonju, Jeonbuk.

This is a place where unauthorized masks were made, delivered to government offices, and exported to China.

They even sold it to gangs.

Police officer A, court official B, and former gangster Song Mo intervened in the process.

The crackdown to hide your identity has been overly emphasized.

[A 씨 / 현직 경찰관 : 뭐 쉬운 게 하나 없네. 그리고 너, 어떤 누구한테도 나하고 같이 거래하네 뭐하네, 그딴 소리 하지 마라.]

[송 씨 / 마스크 사기 피의자 : 예, 알겠습니다.]

[A 씨 / 현직 경찰관 : 내가 부탁한다!]

However, after half a year, he was caught by the victim’s accusation.

When the police investigation began, police officer A forced the misrepresentation, according to the former gangster salesman.

[송 모 씨 / 마스크 사기 피의자 : (A 씨가 입막음하려고 무슨 일을 한 거예요?) 뭐, 많이 했죠. 근데 제가 그랬거든요. 나한테 줄 돈을 차 씨를 주면, 차 씨가 착해서 합의서 써줄 거다.]

Song, who has already been arrested, said in a police investigation that Mr. A has also taken measures to avoid punishment.

“If the victim also commits illegality, the charge of fraud cannot be established.”

In response, Mr. A refuted that the transcripts of the conversation were edited maliciously and that the police were taking damage due to excessive investigation.

There was even suspicion of impeding investigations on charges of illegal mask sales fraud.

Although the allegations of corruption were identified as some facts due to account transaction details and recording of evidence, the police have not imposed any disciplinary action on Mr. A because the investigation is underway, and Mr. A is currently in charge of handling the case under the police box.
