[박제균 칼럼]“Because it’s us, don’t do whatever you want”

The Cheong Wa Dae petition bulletin board now contains a petition demanding the re-confidence of Justice Minister Chu Mi-ae. It is a petition to President Moon Jae-in, and the number of participants exceeds 410,000. The petition was first posted on December 17 last year. It was the day after the Blue House announced that Minister Chu expressed his appreciation.

President Moon’s wording announced at the time was like this. “We highly appreciate the expression of Minister Chu himself and his decision to move forward, and will consider whether to accept it or not. I hope you will do your best to the end.” In words, it was said that it was “expression of my own death,” but when the circumstances are summed up, the core part of the passport, which felt that the existence of Chu Mi-ae, who made sword dance to take control of the prosecution, is close to being stiff. The Blue House revealed the fact of’expression of death’, which does not need to be disclosed, and President Moon added the word’last’ to stick a wedge.

The very next day, however, a petition came up against the president’s intentions, and hundreds of thousands of provincial forces pressed the consent button. In the Blue House debate room, there were also posts by supporters expressing their regret to the President who struck out Minister Chu. It is not the unconditional support of the Munpa (hereinafter referred to as ‘Munpa’) type of “we do what we want to do”.

A similar thing happened in the controversy over the pardon of former presidents Park Geun-hye and Lee Myung-bak. The pardon was raised by Lee Nak-yeon, the leader of the Democratic Party, but it is political common sense that it was made under sympathy with the President. Representative Lee argues that it is “reader behavior,” but Lee Nak-yeon is not a bad-minded person enough to throw megaton-level bombs such as Park Geun-hye and MB Amnesty without sympathy with the President. Nevertheless, the amnesty theory provoked a strong headwind inside the door, and in the end, it became so stubborn that impossible conditions such as’the apology of the parties’ were attached, or a selective amnesty theory came out. It would be embarrassing for a president who is a pardon. This is because the pardons of two former presidents who went to prison before and after their term of office, or at least the pardon of Park Geun-hye, is a problem that must be robbed before retirement. Even after retirement, President Moon, who is both in prison, will not be able to reach out and sleep comfortably. Nevertheless, negative public opinion still prevails on pardon. As stated in his book “The Republic of Korea Asks,” President Moon does not blink at criticism from “outside the camp,” but “is very painful and listens to criticism inside the camp”. In the end, the opposition of the pardon by the pro-moon camp became an obstacle for President Moon to overcome.

This is another sign of Lame Duck (power leak at the end of the term). Even those who said,’We are us, do everything we want’ to change to’Because we are us, don’t do everything you want.’ This is the self-profit of President Moon, who has promoted fandom politics. Moonpa’s star Moon Jae-in has to watch the fan’s attention, and the time is coming when the tail is waving.

The so-called Daegaemun (Moon Jae-in even if the big x is broken) shouts,’I’ll go to the end with President Moon,’ but that’s not possible. Entertainment stars do not have a term, but the president does. With only 14 months left until the next presidential election, President Moon will have to think about’after retirement’. It has always been a burdensome time to mass-produce numerous’enemies’ by causing a breeze because it was always the clearing of the enemy abolition, and the prosecution reform (the prosecution’s control under the name).

In that respect, it is significant that President Moon said on the 8th that “a new year is a year of unity” and “more importantly, unity of mind”. Since the inauguration ceremony, the president has shouted’integration’ in words, but has suffered from the worst division ever, but the’integration of mind’ that was mentioned this time sounded differently. The question is, how will the literary groups react if the president makes a unified move at the end of the term, such as pardoning Park Geun-hye?

Anyone can have a politician they like and can send support. However, the relationship between President Moon and Moonpa was far from healthy political support. A polar fandom that sees President Moon as the absolute good, builds a fence of the sacred and inviolable area around him and Jae-in, and flocks to punishment when someone invades the area. Rather than refraining from restraining that dangerous fandom, it may be too late for the President, who has been using it to achieve political purposes, to feel,’You have gone too far.’ The time has come for both President Moon and Moonpa to stop.
