Last year, the city of Seoul announced that it will spend about 30 billion won to build a dock with various convenience facilities on the Han River near Yeouinaru Station, and even end the selection of private business.

However, even now, well past the scheduled completion date of February this year, the building frame has not even been built.

Reporter Lee Ji-eun covered the incident first.

This is the Yeouido dock, which was scheduled to be completed in February this year.

A three-story building containing restaurants and convenience stores will be built on top of a 102-meter-wide, 34-meter-long boat, the size of half a football field, floating on the river and two boats can 200-ton dock trips at the same time.

The estimated construction cost is around 30 billion won, and the city of Seoul completed the selection of a private operator last March.

However, now, eight months after the scheduled completion date, the dock is still under construction.

The construction sign does not even indicate the construction start date or expected completion date.

The boat that would be the base for the three-story building hadn’t even arrived on site due to design changes.

It turned out that the company asked to extend the construction period five times, delaying its completion until December of this year.

However, although the construction was delayed, there were only two reminders from Seoul City through official documents.

In response to this, the Seoul Metropolitan Government explained that they had made a phone call and did not think it would be difficult to conduct normal business.

They also said they would complete it by December.

However, construction companies are concerned about safety.
