[기상센터][날씨] Lunar New Year holidays, usually sunny and warm like spring…Smog is a variable

During the Lunar New Year holidays, generally sunny and warm weather is expected to continue.

However, it is likely that the air quality will deteriorate due to smog coming instead of the cold.

The sparkling cold has eased and the weather has recovered at this time of year.

As the warm western wind blew, the daytime temperature rose to the video zone, and all cold weather news were lifted.

The temperature is gradually rising, and during the Lunar New Year holidays, it looks like spring.

From Thursday, the first day of the holiday to Friday, the Lunar New Year, the whole country will be generally sunny, and the temperature will rise to around 10 degrees in the middle of the day and the weather will be in mid-March.

After New Year’s Day, it will be sunny until Saturday, and it will rain on the southern coast and Jeju Island from Sunday, but the temperature is not expected to drop significantly.

The sea waves will be relatively calm, but thick fog is expected in the west sea, so use of sea and coastal roads requires caution.

However, air strikes of fine dust are expected in warm weather.

This is because smog from China is expected to flow through the western wind, and air quality is likely to remain in the’bad’ stage throughout the holiday season.

Therefore, it is expected to wear a health mask of KF80 or higher that can filter fine dust during this Lunar New Year holiday, Seongmyo-gil and outdoor activities.
