In the midst of a strong cold wave,’cold wave warnings’ continued in central, Jeonbuk, and Gyeongbuk, and the temperature in Seoseok-myeon, Hongcheon-gun, Gangwon-do, has plummeted to -24.4 degrees Celsius.

The official record shows that Cheorwon has a temperature of -18.5 and Jecheon, Chungbuk has a temperature of -18 degrees.

Subzero cold continues during the day.

It will be similar to yesterday at 4 degrees below zero in Seoul, 1 degrees below zero in Daejeon, and 0 degrees in Gwangju.

The strong cold wave will slow down for a while from tomorrow afternoon.

It is expected to get cold again on the weekend.

Currently, a’heavy snow warning’ has been issued on the west coast of Honam, Jeju, and Dokdo, Ulleungdo, while weak snow and rain continues.

Up to 15cm of snowfall will be poured over the mountains of Jeju and Dokdo of Ulleungdo by tomorrow morning, and up to 7cm of snow will fall on the west coast of Honam until today.

On the other hand, in the inland regions, the sunny weather continues and the atmosphere is getting drier.

‘Drying warning’ is in effect on the east coast, and’drying warning’ is in effect in the metropolitan area, Yeongnam and eastern Jeonnam.
