In Japan, the first vaccination will begin tomorrow (17th), targeting 40,000 medical workers.

The Japanese government is looking forward to the vaccine as the number of wins for the Olympic Games, but there are many mountains to overcome, such as insufficient preparation and anxiety about safety.

Correspondent Lee Kyung-ah reports from Tokyo.

The hospital, which recently completed a mock test, is about to get the first corona vaccine in Japan.

Unlike the general public, which takes time for an interview, it is expected that the vaccination will be done quickly because it is targeted at medical staff.

From the middle of next month, 3.7 million other medical workers will be vaccinated.

Since this is done only to those who wish, each local medical association asks for opinions individually.

Positions on vaccination are also mixed in the field.

Vaccinations for seniors aged 65 or older will be conducted at each local government starting April.

There is only a month left until the nationwide large-scale vaccination, but preparations are insufficient.

The second supply of Pfizer vaccine is expected to arrive next week, but the schedule is uncertain and inquiries from local governments are flooding.

The Japanese government has requested a domestic company that manufactures special syringes to maximize its current production of 500,000 individuals per month.

Vaccination, which has been called the largest medical business since its history, seems to be difficult to avoid various trials and errors amid insufficient preparation.
