The civil disobedience movement is entering its second week, with street protests condemning the military coup in Myanmar held in various metropolitan areas on the weekend.

Street protests against the military coup continued on the eighth day.

Organizations and organizations that have participated in the protests are also increasing.

Massive demonstrations by lawyers took place in the second city of Mandalay.

Officials, including teachers, medical staff, and air traffic controllers, continued to come to the streets.

The military government’s statement calling for the return of civil servants and refraining from protests is not working.

They also protested in front of the US and Chinese embassy, condemning the military coup.

In particular, the military’s attempts to arrest medical staff who led the civil disobedience movement are increasing civil opposition.

A video was also released in which residents knocked out a police vehicle heading to the hospital to arrest medical staff at night while tapping and encircling a pot.

Because of this, the slogan “Stop night kidnapping” began appearing at protests in the capital city of Naepido and the largest city of Yangon.

The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights pointed out that after the coup, more than 350 politicians, journalists, and civil activists were detained, and most of them did not follow legal procedures.

In the meantime, the UN Human Rights Council adopted a resolution condemning the military coup in Myanmar, with the aim of urging the immediate release of all detained and the restoration of the elected government.
