Researchers in southern Finland say they have discovered a novel corona 19 mutant virus.
The Vita Laboratories in Helsinki explained that the mutant virus showed some of the variants found in the British and South African mutant viruses, but the combination was unique.
A laboratory official said the mutation was discovered in a patient last week and details such as infectiousness and resistance to vaccines are not yet known.
However, the official added that it is unlikely that the mutation occurred in Finland because the rate of infection with Corona 19 in Finland is low.
