Amid the intensification of the protests as the Myanmar military’s hard-line armed suppression intensified, large-scale protests against the military coup took place in various parts of Myanmar today.
The Associated Press reported five days of massive protests calling for the release of detainees and the transfer of power to the political parties of the shame torture in Yangon and Mandalay, the capital city of Myanmar, and the capital Naepido.
Local media’Now’ in Myanmar said that for the second day, police joined the protests one after another.
According to’Myanmar Now’, following four people the day before, dozens of police marched on the street with protesters holding placards stating that we are on the side of the people against dictatorship.
Some protesters in Yangon are known to have flocked to the Japanese embassy to protest international pressure on the military.
