If you are infected with Corona 19 while staying abroad, you will feel more devastated.

Recently, an overseas reporter from YTN was infected with Corona 19 and managed to cure it.

He complained that he had to find his own way of life because there were no hospitals or medicines to accept if it was not severe.

Reporter Won Yo-hwan of the United Arab Emirates has delivered a review of the fight against Corona 19, where he had no choice but to “self-deliver”.

[원요환 / 아랍에미리트 리포터 : 어느 날 갑자기 몸이 굉장히 피곤했어요. 아침에 일어났는데 기침이 나고, 열이 나고, 이거 정상이 아니라는 느낌이 들었어요.]

At the end of last year, I had a PCR test because I had symptoms similar to a cold, body aches.

The letter I received after one day of the test had only a positive test result, but no instructions.

[원요환 / 두아랍에미리트 리포터 : 솔직히 이야기하면 정부나 이런 데서 연락이 오지 않았어요. (병원에서는) 자가격리 잘하고 특별한 게 있으면 병원 들르라는 연락이 한 번 왔고….]

Even though I always wore a mask, I was frustrated because I couldn’t know the route of infection, and I was scared that I couldn’t go to the hospital unless it was severe.

This is because the UAE, where thousands of confirmed cases per day, only have 14,000 beds in the country, and cannot be treated or hospitalized unless they are severely ill.

When I was less sick because I thought I had to overcome myself, I exercised and measured my fever every day to check my condition.

[원요환 / 아랍에미리트 리포터 (확진 8일차) : 처음에는 정말 (열이) 한 38도까지 올라갔던 것 같은데 지금은 그나마 조금 많이 내려갔고, 죽다가 살아난 느낌이네요.]

[원요환 / 아랍에미리트 리포터 (확진 9일차) : 아직까지 이렇게 말을 할 때 약간 기침을 하는 걸 보면 아직 완전히 나은 것 같지 않고요.]

[원요환 / 아랍에미리트 리포터 (확진 10일차) : 현재 제 몸 상태는 처음에는 두통이 많이 심했고, 지금은 두통이 조금 없어졌는데 대신 기침이 안 멈추고 있습니다. 어떻게든 살아남아서 다시 밖으로 나가고 싶습니다.]

Finally, two weeks later, I went back to the drive-through laboratory to have a PCR test.

[원요환 / 아랍에미리트 리포터 : 지금 (PCR)검사 받기 바로 전입니다. 한 시간 넘게 기다렸네요. 좋은 결과가 있었으면 좋겠습니다.]

Although it is a mandatory inspection, you have to pay 40,000 won.

After 24 hours, I finally got a negative result after waiting for 10,000 days.

In Dubai, you need to get a negative test twice in a row before you can return to work, etc.

In Dubai, only those over 60 and those with chronic diseases receive the Pfizer vaccine, while adults are vaccinated with Sinopam, a Chinese vaccine.

Vaccinations made in China can be vaccinated free of charge through public health centers or hospitals, but Koreans in the country are reluctant to vaccinate them.

It’s been about two weeks since I got my final negative test.

Fortunately, there aren’t any aftereffects, and I’m going to work soon.
