Guide and location of the museums of the Brotherhoods and Brotherhoods of Seville
The city of Seville does not have a general museum about its Holy Week, although there have been many attempts to make this dream a reality. One of the reasons why there is no agreement for the execution of a project is the existence of its own museums within different Brotherhoods and Confraternities, which are open to the public in the vast majority of cases.
Esperanza Macarena
- Location: Basilica of Our Lady of Hope Macarena (Plaza Esperanza Macarena).
- Schedule: From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. On Sundays and holidays the opening from 9.30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
- Price: € 6 general admission, € 4 reduced admission and free for siblings and children under 6 years old.
- Featured works exhibited: the three steps of the Brotherhood: the mystery step of Our Father Jesus of the Sentence, with all the secondary figures; the full canopy of Esperanza Macarena and the glorious passage of Our Lady of the Rosary. All the insignia of the brotherhood. The golden crown of the Virgin of Hope, the powers of the Lord of the Sentence, All the cloaks, skirts, tunics of the holders of the Brotherhood. Hope of Triana
- Location: Building attached to the Chapel of the Sailors (C / Pureza)
- Schedule: Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sundays, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Price: 2 euros and the brothers free.
- Featured works exhibited: all the mantles and skirts of the Virgin, as well as the tunic of the Christ of the Three Falls, the crowns of the Virgin and powers of the Christ, the image of Santa María Magdalena, ceramic altarpieces, jewels and trousseau of both holders, the passage of canopy disassembled and exhibited in showcases, as well as the completely assembled mystery passage.
The puppy
- Location: Building attached to the Basilica del Cachorro (c / Castilla).
- Schedule: Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sundays, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Price: 2 euros and the brothers free.
- Featured works exhibited: the passage of Christ mounted, all the jewelry, the passage of the canopy in showcases, the golden crown of the Virgin dated in 1974, the powers of the Lord, the tapestry of the crucified by the bridge, owned by the Duke of Segorbe, the Court mantle of Amelia from Portugal, an image of an Immaculate polychrome ceramic, a ceramic altarpiece of the Roldán family or the copy of Ruiz Gijón’s contract to carve the Christ.

Many Brotherhoods do not have museums as such, but they do have their heritage on display and that can be visited after consultation, brotherhoods such as Estrella, Hiniesta, Jesús Despojado, San Benito, la Redención, San Gonzalo, Montserrat, La Amargura, San Bernardo, Carretería, la Sed, la O, los Gitanos, Pasión, la Mortaja, el Silencio, Cigarreras, la Mortaja, or el Gran Poder.
