✅ How to find recently deleted text message conversations in the Messages app on your Apple iPhone or iPad

How to find recently deleted text message conversations in the Messages app on your Apple iPhone or iPad. Until recently, when you deleted a text message conversation on your iPhone or iPad, it was gone forever and there was no way to get it back. Now, with the release of iOS 16 for iPhone and iPadOS 16 for iPad, Apple gives you up to 30 days after deleting a Message conversation to restore it. The only problem is that you have to know where to go to find them.

Let’s now follow the steps to find recently deleted text message conversations in Messages app on your Apple iPhone or iPad.

Step 1. Starting anywhere in the Messages or Messages app on your Apple iPhone or iPad, tap the icon in the upper left corner of the screen until you get to the Messages screen.

step 2. Tap “Recently Deleted”. The Recently Deleted screen appears, where you’ll see a list of the message senders you deleted the conversation from, the number of messages deleted from each of those senders, and the number of days remaining before the messages are permanently deleted.

If you find a text message conversation that you deleted by mistake or a conversation that you deleted on purpose but now want to restore, you can tap to put a check in the circle next to the message conversation, then tap “Recover” to go through the conversation text message recovery process on your iPhone or iPad. Also, if you can’t find your recently deleted text messages on your Apple iPhone or iPad, make sure you update to at least iOS 16 on your iPhone or iPadOS 16 on your iPad.
