Reliable and sensitive virus cleaning for the detection and analysis of SARS-CoV-2 viruses
Zymo Research announced today that its Quick-DNA/RNA(TM) Viral MagBead Kit has been released for sale on the common market of the European Union (EU). The product is designed for high-throughput purification of viral DNA and / or RNA from biological samples that are stored in the DNA / RNA Shield. (TM) are stored. The DNA / RNA Shield (TM) is used for sample collection, nucleic acid preservation and for the deactivation of pathogens. The isolated high-quality nucleic acids are ready for all downstream applications such as next-gen sequencing and for RT-qPCR detection.

The kit is part of several test runs for FDA EUA SARS-CoV-2 developed by well-known companies such as Illumina and Fulgent Genetics.
