Bonn, 30.11.2020. The winning team of trainees and vocational school students who competed in the national foreign language competition in the TEAM WORK category comes from Olpe. The students from the vocational college of the district of Olpe won with a self-made, English-language video on the subject of “How I got my job”. Another group of participants in the vocational college made the double success perfect by winning the second prize. Third place went to a team of trainees from Schaeffler Technologies AG in Herzogenaurach / Bavaria. In addition, there was an additional award from the German Association of Spanish Teachers for the Munich team at BMW AG. The winners received cash prizes.
Around 200 teams of apprentices from all over Germany registered for the competition at the beginning of the year. The twelve best teams were invited to the digital trainee tournament. They had qualified with self-produced films, radio plays or multimedia productions about their everyday work. In addition to foreign language skills, the trainees demonstrated their communication skills and creativity.
In the final, the participants were given a new task: they had to prepare a foreign language presentation in groups and present it online. The best contributions were then assessed by a jury and awarded individual prizes.
After the competition is before the competition: apprentices and students from vocational schools can register for the 2021 competition run until February 28, 2021. More information at www.bundeswettbewerb-fremdsprachen.de
