Sylt course: The new publication from Sylt Marketing is here

The first issue of the new free SMG publication “Kurs Sylt” has appeared and provides insights into the working world of island tourism professionals

Is the island really getting full? Has car traffic actually increased? And what does Corona mean for the future of Sylt tourism? In their latest publication, “Kurs Sylt”, the Sylt Marketing Gesellschaft (SMG) investigates many questions that people who live on the island are currently grappling with. “On the twelve pages we are addressing the residents of Sylt explicitly and report informatively and transparently on the main topics and challenges that concern us at SMG,” says Managing Director Moritz Luft about the concept of the “Sylt Course”. In addition, the publication will give readers an orientation in the jungle of numbers of the island tourism industry.

The “Sylt Course” is part of the dialogue process initiated by the SMG and the five island communities and their tourism companies, consisting of surveys, the Sylt Future Forum and other discussion groups. An additional component of this process is the “Kurs Sylt” published once a quarter, which gives an insight into the working world of island tourism professionals. The first edition starts with a look back at the summer of 2020. How has the coexistence and togetherness on the island changed in just a few months, what consequences does this have for the development of tourism and how can resonance contribute to a new quality of tourism?

The “Kurs Sylt” is hot off the press on Wednesday, December 9th, as an insert in the mailboxes of the Sylt. It is also available for download at www.sylt.de/kurs-sylt ready or can be ordered free of charge from SMG at 04651-82020 or by email to [email protected].
