Roman Reigns defeats Daniel Bryan and retains the WWE Universal Championship at Fastlane 2021.

During much of the fight, Roman Reigns has been the one who has dominated the contest. Daniel Bryan tried to reverse the situation on several occasions, but was stopped by the Universal Champion. In the final moments of the fight, Bryan finally managed to land several hard blows on Reigns, everything changed when Bryan mistakenly connected a Running Knee on the referee’s face.
Edge performed his assigned role for this combat, Jey Uso appeared to apply various Superkicks on the face of Edge and Daniel Bryan, moments later, Jey took a chair to the ring where he was hit by Bryan, the latter took it to hit Roman but connected on Edge, the latter would take revenge since he used several saddles on both of them, then, Roman Reigns took the opportunity to perform the pin and take the victory.
With the victory of ‘The Tribal Chief’ against Bryan, the WWE Universal Champion has chained 7 successful belt defenses since Payback 2020 and his next challenge will be on April 10 or 11 against the winner of the men’s Royal Rumble Match, Edge. Likewise, Daniel Bryan loses his great opportunity to address the main event of WrestleMania 37 as champion and it is still uncertain what role he will take in the event.
