Bonn / Lübeck / Oldenburg / Osnabrück, October 19, 2020

The new version of the Power 7 e-bike from Swapfiets, the well-known bicycle subscription provider with the iconic blue front tire, is now also available in Bonn, Lübeck, Oldenburg and Osnabrück. Swapfiets is now offering an e-bike solution with a monthly subscription in 15 cities in Germany.

Swapfiets offers a revised version of its “Power 7” e-bike in all countries in which the company with the blue front tire is active. Swapfiets gives the seven-speed electric model a major update with the latest technologies and a modified design. With the new e-bike model, city dwellers can cycle long distances through the city center and suburbs without having to worry about maintenance or repairs, because these are included in the monthly subscription at a price of currently 73 euros. There are no additional costs.

In Germany, the new Power 7 e-bike is now available in Berlin, Bremen, Bonn, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt am Main, Hamburg, Hanover, Karlsruhe, Cologne, Lübeck, Oldenburg, Osnabrück, Munich, Münster and Stuttgart.

Demand for e-bikes is increasing

As e-bikes have become more popular as an alternative to cars and public transport, Swapfiets has also seen strong demand for the new Power 7 in recent months. The Dutch scale-up has therefore increased production and also significantly expanded the number of cities where the e-bike is available. Swapfiets now offers the Power 7 in 26 cities in Europe, compared to eight cities before.

Marc van Pappelendam, Managing Director of Swapfiets, says: “With the introduction of the improved Power 7 in a monthly subscription, we are offering the solution for the daily mobility needs of residents in the most important cities in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and Denmark and within the next few weeks also in Paris, Milan and London. ”

E-mobility for longer distances

With a top speed of 25 km / h and an average range of 145 kilometers, the new Swapfiets Power 7 is ideal for longer distances and therefore also for commuters who live in suburbs. The lockable battery is removable, which makes charging at home easy. This means that the Power 7 is also suitable for residents of busy inner cities who have little space to charge an e-bike. With a rustproof aluminum frame and puncture protection tires that roll super easily over asphalt and gravel, the new model of the Power 7 combines robust construction and comfort. Like all mobility solutions, Swapfiets also offers e-bikes by subscription. For currently 73 euros per month, Swapfiets members can get the latest generation of e-bikes, including necessary repairs at any time. This means that a high-quality e-bike with the latest technical equipment is affordable for every cyclist without high acquisition costs.

New technologies with powerful motors and long-life batteries make e-bikes a real alternative to local public transport. Due to the corona situation, Swapfiets noticed an increasing interest in e-bikes across Europe.

The website www.swapfiets.com provides a detailed overview of every available bicycle or electric vehicle in the respective city.

“At Swapfiets, we believe in developing liveable cities that are friendlier, healthier and more comfortable for millions of people with monthly subscription mobility solutions,” said Marc van Pappelendam, Managing Director of Swapfiets. “We will continue to reinvent ourselves again and again to create the best products, services and experiences for our members to stay mobile.”
