On Saturday, May 30th, 2020, three previously unknown perpetrators used the absence of the residents to attempt a break-in in Niederkassel Mondorf.
Between 11:30 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. three men tried to break into a house on Rheidter Strasse. While one of the suspects was standing on a hedge in the Schmiere house, the other two pried open the patio door. They were disturbed by the return of the residents and fled without prey in the direction of the Provinzialstraße and on towards the Rhine. There was material damage of around 800 euros.
The alleged perpetrators were observed during their escape. The personal description is as follows: All three people were male, young, slim, dark-haired and darkly dressed. One had stripes or a pattern on his shirt.
