Joint press release from the Frankenthal / Palatinate public prosecutor’s office and the Rheinpfalz police headquarters
On Sunday, September 22nd, 2019, around 4:05 a.m., there was a physical argument between two groups of people in Ludwigshafen on Heinigstrasse. In the course of this, an 18-year-old seriously injured a 24-year-old and a 32-year-old slightly with a knife. The 24-year-old had to be admitted to a hospital. There is no danger to life. Both injured come from Syria. The 18-year-old suspect was provisionally arrested. He was born in Germany and has Bosnian-Herzegovinian citizenship.
The investigating judge of the Frankenthal Local Court issued an arrest warrant for dangerous bodily harm against the accused on September 22, 2019 at the request of the Frankenthal Public Prosecutor’s Office. The investigating judge suspended this arrest warrant against reporting requirements and the surrender of the passport. The investigations into the facts and the involvement of other people are ongoing.
