During the course of Thursday, a total of three escapes from traffic accidents were reported to the police in Linz, in which the investigations were started.
First, on Thursday evening, a house owner from Kirchstrasse in Vettelschoss announced that her garden fence had been damaged. She received this information from a neighbor. During the police admission, the officers found damage to the fence as well as to a concrete pillar. Due to the damage, a vehicle may have hit it, which then moved away from the location.
Also on Thursday evening, two cars collided with their exterior mirrors in oncoming traffic in the street by the water tower in St. Katharinen, after which a Mercedes-Benz car involved then moved away from the scene of the accident.

At around 6.45 p.m., a witness reported damage to the barrier system in the Scherer shopping center in Linz. Here a Mercedes-Benz car broke through the barrier system when leaving the parking lot. The person responsible could be determined on the basis of the existing video surveillance. The 77-year-old driver stated that he could not take a ticket from the machine while driving in the parking lot. As a result, he was also unable to operate the barrier system properly when leaving. The police are investigating the man for fleeing a traffic accident.
