Police Directorate Neuwied / Rhein
Linz / Rhine (ots)
As part of the patrol, officers from the Linz / Rhine Police Inspection checked a car on Sunday afternoon, which apparently had relatively recent accident damage. The driver of the damaged vehicle of a delivery service could not provide any information about the damage. After contacting the vehicle owner, it became known that another driver had touched a private property wall in St. Katharinen about 1 week earlier during a delivery trip. Allegedly, no external damage was caused, which was assessed as unlikely by the officers on the basis of the damage to the car. After a brief investigation, the location of the damage could be found. In fact, there was damage to the property wall in the form of flaking of the plaster. The damaged property owner had not yet reported the incident to the police and was all the more pleased that the police had already determined who was responsible.
