On Saturday, September 19th, 2021 at around 12:46 a.m. there was a traffic accident on the L 298 coming from the direction of Hellenhahn-Schellenberg in the direction of Rennerod. A 30-year-old man from the Verbandsgemeinde Rennerod came straight off the road to the right and collided with a delineator post and a traffic sign on the right edge of the road. His car suffered a total economic loss. A breath alcohol test carried out voluntarily on a 30-year-old driver showed a value of 1.87 per mille. A blood sample was then taken from him and his driver’s license was secured. Criminal proceedings were initiated against the driver on account of road traffic hazard in accordance with Section 315c of the German Criminal Code.
