Police Directorate Ludwigshafen

Bobenheim-Roxheim (ots)

On Saturday morning, a 60-year-old woman from Bobenheim-Roxheim received a suspicious call. A woman claims to be an employee of the health department. However, the 60-year-old finds the call suspicious, so that she doesn’t fall for the new trick.

Attention! Fraudsters take advantage of the current uncertainty in the population and pretend to be employees of the health department or doctors. You pretend to test for COVID-19 (Corona) and ask for money.

If you are asked by telephone to carry out chargeable tests, hang up. Contact your family doctor or health department and ask if a test has been arranged for you. Report such incidents to your nearest police station.
