1. Four injured in a collision – Obertshausen
A traffic accident on the Bahnhofstrasse in Obertshausen on Saturday evening shows that it can have unpleasant consequences if you don’t follow the traffic rules. A 46-year-old woman from Offenbach was driving her Mazda on Bahnhofstrasse and, contrary to the prohibition, wanted to turn left into Ostendstrasse. Behind her was a 32-year-old Obertshauser with his Golf, apparently he was traveling too fast and was also under the influence of intoxicating drugs. When he tried to overtake the woman turning left, a collision inevitably occurred. The Gulf then came to a halt in a property wall. The police estimate the property damage to the vehicles and the property enclosure to be at least 50,000 euros. Both drivers and their companions were injured and transported to hospitals. The golf driver’s license was confiscated by the police and a blood sample was taken. He will have to answer to a court in due course. The police opened an administrative offense against the driver of the Mazda.
