1. Two men tried to steal the house key from pensioners – Offenbach am Main
(as) Two previously unknown men tried to steal the door key of an 80-year-old senior at 6.30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two men, around 40 years old, ran after their future victim from the Kaiserlei S-Bahn station in Offenbach to his apartment on Berliner Strasse at number 280. You addressed the 80-year-old with the words, “Give me two euros!” When the Offenbacher did not respond, the approximately 1.55 and 1.60 meter tall perpetrators pushed the injured person to the ground and searched his pockets. The taller of the two pulled the key out of his pocket. The 80-year-old screamed loudly, so that the caretaker of the house and his representative became aware of the situation and rushed to help the man. The two men then fled in the direction of Berliner Strasse and then in an unknown direction. The pensioner suffered minor abrasions on his hands from the fall. The smaller perpetrator is said to have had blonde hair and wore a black peaked cap. The other had dark hair and was wearing a dark beret cap. The Kripo has taken over the investigation and asks witnesses who can provide relevant information to report on 069 8098-1234.
2. Another burglar arrested at the recycling center – Rödermark
(tl) Thanks to the quick report of a witness and the immediate use of local police patrols early on Wednesday evening, four people who had gained unauthorized access to the site and were obviously looking for objects were temporarily arrested at the recycling center of the city of Rödermark were still usable. As early as January 8th, thieves were arrested in the municipal facility (we reported). In the present case, an attentive witness alerted the police at around 7.45 p.m. and announced that he was observing the people in the courtyard there. Several patrols, which immediately went to the address in Kapellenstrasse, were then able to find the four men and arrest them for the time being. They are accused of stealing various old navigation devices from an electronic waste container. The suspects between the ages of 22 and 33 were released after consultation with the responsible public prosecutor’s office in Darmstadt – Offenbach branch. The criminal investigation department in Offenbach has now taken over the investigation into serious theft and trespassing and asks for further witness information on 069 8098-1234.

1. Woman attacked with pepper spray and kicked – Maintal
(tl) The police in Maintal are looking for a hitherto unknown man who allegedly attacked a 38-year-old woman with pepper spray in the “Grüne Mitte” recreation area on Wednesday evening and who is also said to have kicked her face. The Maintalerin was on a field path in the extension of Bruno-Dreßler-Strasse at around 4.45 p.m. when she was approached by the stranger and immediately afterwards sprayed with pepper spray. Before she could react, the man kicked her in the face and then disappeared in an unknown direction. He was described as male, about 1.80 m tall, plump stature, dressed in black, with a black ski mask. The investigators in Maintal are hoping to get evidence from witnesses to clarify the case further and ask them to call 06181 4302-0. The investigation continues.
