1. Kripo warns: trick thief couple is on the way – Hanau / Steinheim and Klein-Auheim
(aa) The Hanau criminal investigation agency warns of a pair of trick thieves who pretend to be interested in sales platforms and then steal valuables after they enter the house. Recently happened on Thursday morning in Steinheim on Georg-Busch-Straße. At around 11:15 a.m., the 25 to 30-year-old perpetrators came to a single-family home to allegedly buy a cupboard. While the 1.75 meter tall and slim trick thief skillfully distracted the residents in the kitchen, the somewhat smaller accomplice stole jewelry and money. The slim perpetrator had long black hair and was dressed in a white turtleneck, black trousers and a black jacket. The companion had short black hair, was also slim and dressed entirely in black. Presumably the same duo was out on Rektor-Gieles-Straße on Tuesday and arrived at a family house there around 5 p.m. also with the trick of wanting to buy a piece of furniture. At first unnoticed, they stole money from the wallet of the residents in the kitchen. In both cases, the criminal police asks for further information on the pair of tricksters and possibly suspicious vehicles that were seen in the streets at the time of the crime by calling 06181 100-123.
2. Who saw the accident escape in Löhergasse? – Gelnhausen
(fg) Shortly after 12 noon on Thursday, a Fiat driver parked his car in Löhergasse on the edge of the road and visited the local savings bank. When he returned shortly afterwards, he found damage to the driver’s side mirror and the front fender. The damage to the gray Fiat Tipo is estimated at around 2,000 euros. However, the person who caused the accident simply ran away. Witnesses should report to the police station in Gelnhausen on 06051 827-0.
3. Search for witnesses: Several garden huts broken into – Maintal
(fg) Ten garden huts were broken into by strangers on Thursday night in an allotment garden on Philipp-Reis-Straße. Before that, the intruders pried open the entrance gate of the allotment garden association before breaking open the entrance doors of the garden huts. They then searched the premises and fled. It is not yet clear whether and what the burglars took with them. The police are now looking for witnesses who made observations between Wednesday noon at 12 noon and Thursday morning at 10 a.m. and asked them to report to the police station in Maintal on 06181 4302-0.
