Control measures in the urban area – Hanau

(kk) The Corona regulation and the tuner-poser scene were the focus of the joint controls by the state, federal and city police on Tuesday night in the Hanau city area. The officers were able to check more than twenty vehicles and their occupants, which were apparently as vehicle posers in the parking lot at Kinzigbogen, before the curfew began, in order to subsequently issue them with reference to their place and to inform them of the contact restrictions. In total, more than a hundred vehicles and people were checked during the night, including during stationary checks in Lamboystraße and Nussallee. Over thirty of those checked had no plausible explanation as to why they were out during the curfew after 9 p.m. These and three people who had disregarded the alcohol ban must now expect reports. A vehicle driver without a valid driver’s license, as well as someone who has forbidden a knife with him, also expect advertisements. During further mobile controls, up to around 3 a.m., the officers in the underground garden and in Klein-Auheim were also able to seize small amounts of narcotics. The police authorities will continue to support and monitor compliance with the general directives.

Shoplifter provisionally arrested – Bad Soden-Salmünster / Salmünster

(fg) Police officers from the Bad Orb police station temporarily arrested a shoplifter in Salmünster on Monday evening. The 28-year-old man from the Main-Kinzig district previously filled a shopping cart with items with a total value of around 150 euros and pushed the cart outside of the market in the street “Am Palmusacker” without paying. He then wanted to load the goods into his car parked in the parking lot, but was confronted by the store staff who were able to observe the incident. The police patrol, who arrived shortly afterwards, found on site that it was apparently a theft, which is why they temporarily arrested the 28-year-old, who was known to the police, and took him to the office for identification measures. The goods were unloaded again and returned to the supermarket. The suspect is now facing criminal proceedings.
